RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Night shift position working 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 13-week assignment length with guaranteed hours of 36 or 48 hours per week
• Patient ratio of 1:2 in 22-bed Cardiac Medical Intensive Care Unit
• Weekend requirements include every other weekend as needed
• No call requirements
• May be floated to other stepdown units based on staffing needs
• Current RN license eligible for Missouri or currently licensed in Missouri required
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS from AHA only, NIHSS
• Preferred certification: TNCC
• 3 years Cardiac and/or Medical ICU experience required
• 3+ years CVI experience recovering open hearts directly from the OR required
• Must have 2+ CVICU experience with post-surgical cardiac patients
• Work with equipment including Impella, IABP, Prismax CRRT, Zoll internal cooling device, Arctic Sun
• Electronic medical records system: EPIC
• Care for patients with sepsis, respiratory conditions, post cardiac arrest, GI bleed, DKA, PE, renal failure, liver failure, pancreatitis, overdose, and suicidal ideations
• Dress code requires black scrubs only
• Night shift orientation conducted on day shift - must be available entire week for orientation
• Flu vaccination or approved exemption required November 1-April 1
