This position is for a Hematology/Oncology Physician to provide outpatient and inpatient medical care for cancer patients and those with blood disorders in a multi-specialty group in Southeast New Mexico. Responsibilities include diagnosing and treating malignancies, administering chemotherapy, performing biopsies, and consulting on oncology emergencies. Candidates must have completed relevant residencies and fellowships, hold or be eligible for a New Mexico medical license, and J1 visa applicants and new graduates are encouraged to apply.

Requirements: Family Practice or Internal Medicine, Completion of 3-year residency in Family Practice or Internal Medicine, Completion of Residency program, New Mexico license (or eligible)

Hematology-Oncologist Outpatient J1 Sponsor: Multi-specialty group with three clinics and a staff of over 160 serving SE New Mexico (3 hours from Albuquerque). Group offers high complexity lab services and a full radiology department consisting of Digital X-ray, Pet/CT, Nuclear Camera, Ultrasound, Dexa Scan, and Echo-cardiogram. We will be adding MRI this year. New grads / J1s encourage to apply!
Position responsibilities: diagnose and provide medical treatment for cancer, solid tumors, and benign and malignant blood disorders.
- Out-patient: write and administer chemotherapy orders, perform bone marrow biopsies and lumbar punctures, review smears and refer patients for radiation oncology and surgery services as needed.
- In-patient:evaluate oncology emergencies and treatment-related complications, deliver chemo-infusion, and provide consultation services to other healthcare professionals.
Requirements: Completion of 3-year residency in Internal Medicine, Completion of a 3-year fellowship in hematology-oncology, BE/BC in Hematology/Oncology, New Mexico license, or eligible
