The ideal candidate:
Has experience in childcare, ABA, or special education
Has passion for the underserved
Professional verbal and written communication skills
Enjoys an independent and fast-paced work environment
Will work hard and have fun in the process
Commits to a weekly schedule with each assigned client
Job Responsibilities:
Provide quality 1:1 instruction to children with ASD in communication, social, play, and adaptive skills under the direction of a BCBA
Record objective daily data to reflect client progress toward goals
Maintain effective communication with team members and supervisors
Being open and receptive to feedback
Requirements:
· -Must be able to handle behaviors such as aggression, tantrums, self-injurious behaviors, and potty training. This may include implementing crisis intervention practices at times (we will provide the appropriate training). This may include lifting and/or transporting children as need be
· -High School degree
· -Pass a background check
· -RBT Certification (Registered Behavior Technician Certification) with the first 90 days of employment - we provide the appropriate training
Must have a reliable means of transportation to travel to case locations.
