We are seeking a qualified Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a contract assignment in a Skilled Nursing Facility. The COTA will work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to support residents in improving functional independence and performance in activities of daily living.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in implementing individualized occupational therapy treatment plans
- Provide therapeutic activities focused on ADLs, strength, coordination, and functional mobility
- Monitor patient progress and communicate updates to the supervising Occupational Therapist
- Document treatments accurately and timely in the electronic medical record
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to support patient outcomes
- Ensure patient safety and adherence to rehabilitation protocols
- Active California COTA license (must be current)
- Minimum 1 year of COTA experience
- Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) experience required
- Experience with Rehab Optima (NetHealth) documentation system required
- Strong communication, time-management, and patient care skills
- Bilingual skills not required
- EMR system: Rehab Optima (NetHealth)
