This position is for a Board Certified or Board Eligible Emergency Medicine Physician to provide care in a Level 5 Trauma Emergency Department at Kayenta Health Center, serving primarily the Navajo community. Responsibilities include managing major trauma, medical, obstetrical, and pediatric emergencies with flexible shift options and a high patient volume of 18,000 annually. Arc Health is seeking physicians with Emergency Medicine experience to assist an Emergency Department in Kayenta, AZ, serving the native Navajo community.
Position : Emergency Medicine Physician Setting : Level 5 Trauma ED Location : Kayenta, AZ Facility : Kayenta Health Center - Indian Health Services Start Date : July 2025 Contract Duration : 6 months to 1 year, with potential for extension

Duties Include :
Position : Emergency Medicine Physician Setting : Level 5 Trauma ED Location : Kayenta, AZ Facility : Kayenta Health Center - Indian Health Services Start Date : July 2025 Contract Duration : 6 months to 1 year, with potential for extension
Shifts : Flexible schedules, offering options such as:
- 7 AM to 7 PM (day shifts)
- 9 AM to 9 PM (morning)
- 11 AM to 11 PM (afternoon)
- 2 PM to 2 AM (evening shifts)
- 7 PM to 7 AM (night shifts)
Duties Include :
- Major trauma cases, including fractures of multiple extremities, stab wounds, open wounds of the chest, abdomen, and extremities; penetrating trauma; head trauma; suspected spinal injuries; lacerations; amputations
- Major medical emergencies, such as cardiac arrest, myocardial infarction, respiratory failure, shock, diabetic ketoacidosis
- Obstetrical emergencies, including deliveries of single or multiple births, acute pregnancy complications, and vaginal bleeding
- Pediatric emergencies (25% of patient volume)
- Must be Board Certified/Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine or Family Practice, with at least 18 months of experience
- Hold a valid medical license from any U.S. state or territory
- Certifications: Required- ATLS, ACLS, PALS, BLS; NRP and ALSO strongly recommended for Family Practice-trained providers
