The Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) provides specialized, compassionate care to cancer patients on the oncology unit during night shifts, utilizing the nursing process to assess and manage treatment. This role includes direct and indirect patient care, patient and family education on chemotherapy and symptom management, and serving as a resource for less experienced nurses. The RN must maintain licensure and certification, including chemotherapy competency, while responding promptly to changes in patient condition and supporting complex care needs.

Qualifications:
Experience: Demonstrated ability to function independently as an Oncology RN.
Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Licensure/Certification: Current Montana RN license and BLS required. Oncology Nursing Certification preferred. Completion of a chemotherapy/oncology course and competency required within 6–12 months of hire; annual competency updates required.
