Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med-Surg Ortho/Spine night shift position requiring a NY license, EPIC experience, and strong recent specialty experience.
Responsibilities
- Work in a hospital Med-Surg Ortho/Spine unit
- Night shift position, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Assignment length is 13 weeks
- Patients include those with orthopedic and spinal conditions
- EPIC EMR is used and prior experience is required
- No blocked scheduling allowed
- More than three call outs during the assignment will result in contract termination and make-up shifts must be completed within six weeks
- Competency testing is required, and applicants with less than 2 years of experience must pass Med-Surg testing within two attempts
- No local candidates residing in Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, or Washington counties will be considered
- All requested time off must be submitted with application
- Only one position application is allowed per traveler
- Travel pairs are not permitted
Requirements
- Active NY RN license required at time of consideration
- Minimum of 2 years of recent Med-Surg Ortho/Spine nursing experience required
- Current BLS and any other certifications must be from the American Heart Association (AHA) or RQI
- Experience with EPIC EMR is mandatory
- No 90-day or longer work history gaps in the past 12 months
- Seasonal influenza vaccination required, only medical exemptions signed by a licensed professional are accepted
- US Social Security Number required; Canadian SIN is not accepted
