Shift: Night Shift | 12-hour shifts, 3 days/week

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and patient-focused Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week contract assignment in Columbus, OH. The ideal candidate will provide intermediate-level care to patients who require close monitoring but do not need intensive care unit (ICU) support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to patients in the PCU/step-down unit
- Monitor patient conditions, including cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and neurological status
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as prescribed
- Manage telemetry monitoring and interpret cardiac rhythms
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Respond to changes in patient condition and escalate care when necessary
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and recovery
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EMR systems
- Ensure adherence to patient safety, infection control, and hospital protocols
Requirements:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio (or compact state)
- Minimum 2 years of recent PCU/Stepdown experience
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- ACLS certification required
- Strong knowledge of telemetry, cardiac monitoring, and patient care practices
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
