RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Provide critical care nursing in an 11-bed ICU unit
• Work with patient ratios of 2:1, with surge capability to 1:3
• Care for critically ill patients including those on ventilators
• Monitor rhythm strips, recognize changes, and escalate to physicians in a timely manner
• Assist with intubation and bronchoscopy procedures at bedside
• Perform SLED (Sustained Low-Efficiency Dialysis)
• Assist with TEE (Transesophageal Echocardiogram) and cardioversions
• Float to PCU, Telemetry, and ER (only to take hold patients, not ER patients)
• Work every other weekend with no on-call requirements
• ICU nursing experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS
• Must demonstrate high energy, teamwork, critical thinking skills, and positive attitude with ability to adapt to changes quickly
• Use GE bedside monitoring equipment and Meditech EMR system
• Dress code: Black pants with black or Caribbean blue tops
