Opportunity to lead clinical care at a new 40-bed inpatient rehab hospital 16 miles from Seattle. Physiatrist, independent contractor role; inpatient acute rehab; full-time schedule with interdisciplinary team; location: suburban Washington city; facility: 40-bed acute rehab hospital; contract: locum/permanent IC opportunity. - MD/DO licensed in WA (or eligible) - Board-certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation - PM&R residency or equivalent (1+ year fellowship or 2+ years inpatient rehab experience) - Experience providing medical direction in inpatient rehab - Familiarity with CMS and Joint Commission regulations

Location: A city in Washington serves as a major retail and commercial hub in the region, with a mix of suburban living, shopping centers, and access to outdoor recreation. 16 miles to Seattle!

Facility: A state-of-the-art, 40-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital dedicated to the treatment and recovery of individuals who have experienced the debilitating effects of a severe injury or illness.

• This position is an Independent Contractor role and will collaborate with the Medical Director, CEO and the entire clinical team to provide medical direction in conformance with the facility's policies and procedures, state and federal laws and regulations, including the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and the Joint Commission.
• As a Staff Physician you will have:
  • • Doctor of medicine or osteopathy, duly licensed and registered to practice medicine or surgery, and is in good standing under the laws of the state.
  • • Certified and maintains all board certifications in his or her specialty areas by a nationally recognized board.
  • • Demonstrates appropriate experience or training to provide rehabilitation services through one of the following:
      • A formal residency in PMR
  • • • A fellowship in rehabilitation for a minimum of one year
      • Has completed a one-year hospital internship with a minimum of two years' of training or experience as a collaborative team member in the medical management of inpatients requiring rehabilitation services
