Seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Pulmonary Critical Care physician to provide 24/7 in-house ICU coverage at Virginia Hospital Center, a Level II Trauma teaching hospital in Arlington, VA. The role involves managing a mixed 28-bed ICU with diverse patient cases, working alongside a multidisciplinary team in a well-respected multi-specialty physician group. We are seeking a Pulmonary Critical Care physician to join our group of well-trained Pulmonary Critical Care specialists who manage the ICU service at Virginia Hospital Center (VHC Health) in Arlington, VA.
- This is an opportunity to join a well respected multi-specialty group composed of more than 30 providers across various specialties, including internal medicine and primary care, pulmonary medicine, sleep medicine, critical care, sports medicine and urgent care.
- Work alongside a team of BC Pulmonologists/Critical Care physicians and APPs providing 24/7 in-house Critical Care coverage at Virginia Hospital Center in Arlington, VA.
- Full-time, 14-15 ICU shifts per month, including a mix of days, nights, weekends and holidays. Typically not more than 4 nights, spread over the course of a month.
- VHC Health is a 537-bed Level II Trauma hospital serving the Washington, DC metropolitan area, and a nationally recognized top teaching hospital for local medical students and residents.
- 28 bed mixed ICU, including medical, surgical, neurological (neurosurgery as well as acute stroke), cardiac and trauma patients, with an average census of 18 patients.
