Our client, a leading organization in the manufacturing industry, is seeking a dedicated Materials Handling Equipment Operator to join their team. As a Materials Handling Equipment Operator, you will be an integral part of the warehouse operations supporting logistics and inventory management. The ideal candidate will demonstrate reliability, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully within the organization.
Job Title: Materials Handling Equipment Operator
Location: Portland, OR
Pay Rate: $25.08/hour
Position Type: 3-Month Contract with potential for conversion/extension
Shift: 11:30 AM - 8:00 PM
What's the Job?
- Load, unload, and move materials within or near the work site efficiently and safely.
- Inspect materials for quality and defects, ensuring only high-quality items are handled.
- Identify materials by part number or written description to ensure accurate handling.
- Manually move materials onto or from pallets and shelves, maintaining organization.
- Convey materials from storage or work sites to designated areas, supporting smooth workflow.
What's Needed?
- HS/GED Completion
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Basic understanding of safety rules and regulations in a warehouse environment.
- Good communication skills to follow instructions accurately.
- Previous experience in material handling or warehouse operations is a plus but not required.
