Job Description

As a Security Officer - Access Control Specialist in Niskayuna, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, managing access points, and delivering exceptional customer service and communication. This is a driving post. What You'll Do:

• Monitor and control access to the manufacturing and industrial location, verifying credentials of employees, visitors, and contractors in accordance with site-specific policies.
• Assist with the implementation of security-related procedures and protocols to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or suspicious activities within the facility.
• Provide customer service by offering guidance and assistance to individuals entering or exiting the premises, while maintaining a professional presence.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to observe and report any irregularities or security-related concerns.
• Document and report all incidents, observations, and activities as required by Allied Universal and client protocols.
• Collaborate with site management and Allied Universal team members to support ongoing security-related initiatives and address client needs as they arise.

Minimum Requirements:

• Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
• Two or more years of law enforcement, military, or corrections experience or a college degree is required.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Five or more years of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
