A community health center in Southeastern Iowa seeks a full-time board eligible or board certified Internal Medicine physician to provide primary care services including routine exams, immunizations, laboratory services, and specialist referrals. The center offers affordable healthcare to all patients regardless of insurance status and is supported by federal grants to assist low-income individuals. The location offers a welcoming Midwestern environment with strong community and cultural amenities.
Community Health Center in Southeastern IA, near the MO and IL borders, is seeking a full-time BE/BC Internal Medicine (MD or DO) provider to join their clinic.
About the Health Center
The Health Center is part of a non-profit network of community health clinic sites providing high quality, affordable, primary health care to anyone regardless of age, race, nationality, income, employment, health insurance status or residency. Both uninsured and insured patients are welcome. They offer the following healthcare services: medical care, dental care, behavioral health and laboratory; along with the following specialized services and programs: benefit counseling, chronic care management, health education and community health programs, interpreters on site and referrals to area providers.
The Health Center is owned and operated by people living in the community. This health center receives HHS funding and has Federal Public Health Service (PHS) deemed status with respect to certain health or health-related claims, including medical malpractice claims, for itself and its covered individuals. They are also supported by grant funding from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Health Resources and Services Administration which makes it possible for them to offer financial assistance in the form of sliding fee discounts to low-income individuals.
