Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuro ICU position requiring a MO or compact RN license and strong neuro and stroke experience.

Responsibilities

• Position is in the Neuro ICU at a hospital
• Night shifts, 3x12 hours from 19:00 to 07:30
• Patient ratio is 1:2
• Required to work every other weekend and 50% of holidays during the contract
• Mandatory floating to ICU and Med Surg units, may also be assigned as a Patient Observer (Sitter)
• Cerner EMR used, experience preferred but not required
• Provide care to neuro ICU patients with a focus on stroke management
• Return travelers must have a 9-month gap between assignments; re-orientation is not required if returning within 18 months
• Local candidates within 75 miles are accepted at a reduced rate
• Must report all requested time off (RTO) at time of consideration

Requirements

• Active MO or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in Neuro ICU or strong neuro background
• Stroke care experience required
• CPI certification preferred
• References required
