JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Licenses: Must be licensed or eligible in Alabama
- Certifications: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine
- Experience: Internal Medicine residency trained
- Other Qualifications: Comfortable managing diverse patient populations; throughput efficiency focus
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide inpatient care for ED admissions, consults, and transfers
- Co-manage critical care patients with intensivists (no procedures required)
- Manage patients in clinical decision unit
- Collaborate with subspecialists and hospital support services
- Participate in throughput initiatives to reduce patient length of stay
