Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist for a Home Health position in California, requiring a CA license and BLS certification with a minimum of 2 years' experience.
Responsibilities
- Home health setting focusing on occupational therapy services
- Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Patient population includes individuals with disabilities or developmental delays
- Role involves both assessment and participation in rehabilitative programs
- 50 mile radius rule applies for candidate eligibility
- Responsible for creating, organizing, and implementing rehabilitative programs to enhance daily living, vocational, and homemaking skills
- Provide clinical supervision to assistants and aides and serve as a clinical instructor for students
- Must adhere to privacy and safety regulations and effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare providers
- Return staff must have been away for at least 1 year to be considered for rehire as a traveler
- Only one holiday request for time off will be approved
- Must be available for lab work within 3-5 days of signing the assignment contract
Requirements
- Active California Occupational Therapist license required
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of occupational therapy experience
- License required if applicable
