Locums Cardiothoracic Surgeon in Iowa - Weekend-Only Coverage

Weekend call coverage opportunity in Iowa, near Des Moines, with light volume and full travel provided.

Highlights

• 1-2 weekends/month; vacation coverage also needed
• Light case load: 2-6 cases per weekend
• Credentialing in 30-60 days
• Open to IMLC surgeons

Practice Setting

• Inpatient setting at a Level 3 center
• Adult patients only
• Epic EMR

Schedule

• Friday 5pm - Monday 5am
• Full and half weekend shifts available
• Holiday weekends especially needed

Cases and Procedures

• Full scope of cardiothoracic and cardiovascular surgeries
• Includes open-heart cases and pacemaker insertions

Requirements

• Board Certified in Cardiothoracic Surgery
• Active Iowa license or IMLC eligibility

Travel Accommodations

• Flight, lodging, rental car, and mileage covered
