We are seeking a dedicated, board-certified surgeon to provide critical coverage at a Level II Trauma Center located near Lexington, Virginia. This is a high-acuity environment offering you the opportunity to contribute your expertise within a collaborative and well-supported team. Position Details: Position Type: Locum Tenens Duration: 5 months Start Date: August 1, 2025 End Date: December 31, 2025 Specialty: Cardiovascular Surgery Responsibilities: Provide 24/7 cardiovascular surgery coverage at a level II Trauma Center. Perform various cardiovascular surgical procedures, including those in our TAVR program. Collaborate with a skilled support team, including Nursing Staff and APP support. Qualifications: Board Certified in Cardiothoracic Surgery. Hold current BCLS and ACLS certifications. Additional Information: Experience with eClinicalWorks (eCW) EMR systems is preferred. Patient volume: Approximately 15 patients per shift. Temporary/emergency privileges may be granted if needed.
