Home Health RN Job Details

• Location: Burlington, NC 27215 and surrounding areas (travel radius up to 75 miles)
• Assignment Length: 13-week travel nursing contract
• Start Date: January 5, 2026
• Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Shift Duration: 8-hour day shifts
• Hours per Week: Approximately 40 (productivity-based; no guaranteed hours)
• Employment Type: Travel RN contract
• Patient Load: 5–8 patients per day (productivity points system)
• Mileage: Reimbursed at IRS standard rate (patient home to patient home)

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina (license in hand required)
• At least 1 year of recent Adult Home Health or Hospice RN experience
• Current BLS and CPR certifications
• Experience with HomeCare HomeBase (HCHB) EMR and OASIS (recent use or retraining required)
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance
• Ability to travel up to 75 miles from the home clinic
• Timely completion of documentation within 24 hours of patient visits
• Not currently employed directly by the facility (for travel nurse applicants)
• Willing to participate in on-call rotations and flexible patient assignments

Home Health Nursing Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care to patients in their homes following physician orders and agency policies
• Supervise and evaluate Home Health Aides and Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurses
• Perform Start of Care assessments, wound care, and follow-up visits
• Travel between patient homes and attend office meetings as needed
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all patient care activities
• Meet weekly productivity goals (approximately 30 points/week)
• Participate in on-call rotations as required
• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care while adapting to changing schedules and travel requirements
