Position Summary
The Substance Use Disorder Professional (SUDP) provides counseling and treatment services to individuals experiencing substance use disorders. This role delivers services in alignment with established clinical standards,
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality substance use disorder treatment through individual and group counseling.
- Conduct client assessments and develop individualized treatment plans using ASAM criteria.
- Engage clients using evidence-based practices and healthy relationship skills.
- Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as clinically indicated.
- Communicate client needs, progress, and recommendations to treatment teams and collaborating agencies.
- Represent clients in court proceedings when required.
- Provide client and family education through lectures, written materials, video, and individualized resources.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation in accordance with WAC standards.
Qualifications
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Active Substance Use Disorder Professional (SUDP) credential as required by Washington Administrative Code (WAC).
- Current professional license and registration number issued by the Washington State Department of Health.
- No history of alcohol or drug misuse for a minimum of two (2) years prior to employment and none during employment.
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant education and experience related to substance use disorder treatment and diverse populations.
