Job Description

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol in Wilmington, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location, you will conduct routine patrols, help to deter security-related incidents, and remain highly visible throughout the site. This role also requires driving responsibilities as part of your patrol duties. You will deliver exceptional customer service, uphold our core values, and contribute to a secure environment through teamwork, agility, and integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide exceptional customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, including emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the manufacturing and industrial location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and/or suspicious behavior.
• Monitor access points and control entry to restricted areas, verifying identification and credentials as required.
• Document and report any incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences according to Allied Universal protocols.
• Collaborate with site personnel and local authorities when necessary to address security-related concerns or emergencies.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential threats and/or disturbances within the industrial environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• A minimum of three years combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or a college degree is required.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Experience in loss prevention is preferred.
• Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
