County Waste-Sierra Processing (Recycling Processing Facility) is looking to add an Industrial Mechanic to the Recycling team in Albany, NY.

Pay: $25-$30/hr depending on relevant experience

Hours: 10:30a-8p

Days: Mon-Fri

As a mechanic with us the minimum responsibilities are:

• Perform repairs and inspections, safety checks, diagnosis and repair of electrical, hydraulics on plant equipment

• Utilize computer electrical systems to interpret failure modes to identify and adjust plant machinery

• Respond to emergency repairs

• Reviewing and/or Completing or repairs

• Completing required paperwork utilizing maintenance software programs.

• Testing machine after services and repairs

• Helping other team members with repairs as needed

• Having professional and courteous interactions with all team members

• Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards.

• Perform other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

What we need from you:

• Troubleshoot and perform electrical and mechanical repairs as needed on the plant equipment

• Ensure operation of the mechanical equipment and machinery by performing preventative maintenance

• Perform daily inspection of all equipment to minimize unforeseen breakdowns

• Install wear parts on conveyors, screens, optical sorters,

• Adjusts work priorities as necessary to meet production needs.

• Ability to multi-task and work under limited supervision

• Ability to perform physical requirements such as bending, reaching, stretching, and lifting

• Must be able to work in a noisy environment

• Basic mechanic tools required

• Must comply with plant safety practices
