Job Details:
• Provide specialized nursing care in a pediatric intensive care unit to patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex
• Must have PICU experience and Level 1 experience required
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
• Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients
• Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments
• Assist physicians in examination of patients and performing minor diagnostic procedures
• Obtain and monitor physiological data of patients and intervene when necessary
• Administer medications as prescribed and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products
• Interact with families and patients regarding care plans during hospitalization and discharge
• Make referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel
• Delegate tasks to support staff
• Required certifications: Current Oklahoma RN License or multistate compact RN License (eNLC), Basic Life Support (AHA), PALS (AHA)
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from accredited program required
• Must demonstrate knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, and procedures
• Strong verbal and written communication skills required
• Computer skills and ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients
