Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with 2+ years of experience and Minnesota licensure for an acute care hospital position using Epic.
Responsibilities
- Work in an acute care critical access hospital setting
- Covers both inpatient and outpatient physical therapy services
- Facility has 4 outpatient exam rooms and a 14-bed inpatient medical-surgical unit
- Shift is Monday through Thursday, 8am-5pm; Friday 8am-3pm
- No call, weekend, or evening shifts required
- Possibility of working alone if staff PT is unavailable
- Epic is used for electronic medical records
- Responsibilities include assessment, development, and delivery of therapy plans for diverse diagnoses and age groups
- Opportunity to provide guidance and technical direction within the team
- Document and modify therapeutic plans and educate patients and families on continued care
- Adheres to current clinical guidelines and evidence-based practice
- Physical therapy assistant will provide orientation and training support
- Clinicians must badge in and out of facility
- Dress code requires polo shirt in specified colors or business casual attire
- Returning employees must have ended previous employment at least 6 months prior to consideration
- Local candidates within 80 miles may be eligible with a pay adjustment
Requirements
- Active Minnesota Physical Therapist license required if applicable
- Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy program required
- Minimum 2 years of recent PT experience
- Current BLS certification required
- Experience with Epic EMR preferred
