Opportunity:
RN - Med Surg Tele
Job Details:
• Work 3x12 day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Every other weekend requirement
• Patient ratio of 1:5 to 1:7 for Med Surg
• Float required to Med Surg units
• Must have New York license in hand - no exceptions
• EPIC charting experience is a hard requirement
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience required
• Previous charge experience required
• Travel experience required
• Must be more than 75 mile radius from facility
• 12 hours of orientation provided
• Scrub color: any combination of navy and white
• Care for patients post PCI, pacemakers, AICDs, post MI and cardiac pharmacological interventions
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias
• Skills include blood product administration, central line care, feeding tube management, heparin protocols, high flow nasal cannula, isolation precautions, oxygen administration, PICC line management, starting IVs, telemetry monitoring, wound care, and use of rapid response/code teams
• Patient population includes adults and geriatrics with complex medical conditions

This tertiary care hospital operates 528 staffed beds and specializes in comprehensive medical services. The facility features a 26-bed medical surgical telemetry unit that provides specialized cardiac care including post-procedural monitoring and emergency response capabilities. The hospital utilizes advanced technology and maintains interdisciplinary support teams including IV therapy, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
