Opportunity to lead inpatient hematology-oncology care at a WV facility with teaching and multidisciplinary collaboration. Hematologist-Oncologist, full-time permanent inpatient role in West Virginia; provides medical management, diagnostics, counseling, documentation, and staff education; work onsite collaborating with psychiatry and specialists. - M.D. or D.O. - Completed ACGME residency and Hematology/Oncology fellowship
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology and/or Oncology
- Valid West Virginia medical license
- Current DEA registration

Position Summary
Physician to provide specialized medical management of patients hospitalized at the facility, focusing on hematologic and oncologic conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Medical Management: Provide comprehensive medical management for all persons admitted to the facility.
- Diagnostic Evaluation: Ability to evaluate and perform examinations and provide diagnostic studies related to blood disorders and cancer care.
-Counseling: Provide educational information and counseling to patients, including those involuntarily hospitalized, regarding medication and treatment management.
- Clinical Documentation: Document all services adequately and provide care within the state scope of practice of the facility.
- Specialized Care: Apply knowledge of treatment and medical modalities in the care of hospitalized adults.
- Collaboration: Work in collaboration with the attending Psychiatrist and other specialists to evaluate and treat patients.
- Education: Provide clinical education to unit staff and students from various medical disciplines.
Qualifications:
- Education: M.D. or D.O. degree or foreign equivalent.
- Training: Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited residency followed by a Hematology and Oncology fellowship program.
- Certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology and/or Oncology.
- Licensure: Valid West Virginia Medical License.
- Registration: Current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Registration.
