As a Security Officer - Armed Industrial Patrol in Wilmington, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the manufacturing and industrial location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access and protect property.
- Maintain awareness of site conditions and report any suspicious activity or security-related concerns promptly.
- Work closely with client personnel and Allied Universal management to address any security-related needs specific to the manufacturing and industrial environment.
- Prepare detailed and accurate reports on incidents, observations, and daily activities as required by site protocols.
- Operate security-related equipment and systems as required for armed patrol duties.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- An armed guard card or license is preferred.
- Access control or badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
