The Physiatry/Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Physician provides comprehensive care for inpatient rehabilitation patients, including admissions, assessments, treatment plans, and discharges. The physician ensures compliance with CMS requirements, collaborates with a multidisciplinary team, and contributes to the growth and structure of the rehab unit. Board certification and medical degree are required, with opportunities to run an outpatient clinic based on clinical interests.

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS:
Rehab unit averages 15 operational beds (licensed for more).
Maintains knowledge of CMS requirements and changes and ensures compliance
Responsible for all aspects of care for rehab patients: admission, H&P, IPOC, team conference, 3 weekly face-to-face visits, discharge, and all other requirements for individualized care
Works closely with admission coordinators to assess and admit appropriate rehab patients who meet reasonable and necessary criteria
Helps lead future structure and growth of unit
Works closely with rehab manager, nursing and support staff, and hospitalists
Ability to run a clinic too based on clinical interests

Qualifications
Doctorate Degree in Medicine (Required)
Completion of required residency and/or fellowship program
Work Experience
0 - 1 year Experience in a related field (Preferred)
Licenses and Certifications
Board certification or Board eligibility as defined by: medical staff at the health system facility where you are working, per employment/IC agreement, managed care plans, and other entities that credential providers.
