MedAdventures is seeking an experienced Physical Therapist (PT) to join our team within a correctional facility in Gatesville, TX. In this role, you’ll provide evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation services to patients while ensuring care meets legal, ethical, and institutional standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate, plan, and implement individualized physical therapy programs for patients.
• Provide active, passive, restorative, and resistive therapeutic treatments.
• Document evaluations and progress notes accurately in patient medical records.
• Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Participate in care conferences, clinics, and team meetings as needed.
• Supervise and delegate tasks appropriately to PTAs and Rehab Aides.
• Maintain compliance with department policies, procedures, and safety standards.

Work Environment:

• Setting is within a correctional facility; must meet security clearance requirements.
• May be exposed to communicable diseases or other occupational hazards.
• Requires alertness, attention to detail, and ability to manage complex situations.
• Occasional travel to nearby clinics or CEU activities may be required.
• Some lifting and physical activity are part of the role.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Active Texas PT license (or eligibility).
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience.
• Must pass security clearance and pre-employment drug screening.

Location options: Huntsville, Gatesville, and Palestine Operating Hours: Monday–Thursday, 05:30 AM – 4:00 PM or 06:00 AM - 4:30 PM Two (2) years recent experience.
