A Family Practice Physician with OB responsibilities provides comprehensive care including diagnosis, treatment, prenatal, delivery, and postnatal services for patients of all ages. The role includes performing surgical procedures, prescribing medications, coordinating with specialists, and ensuring quality clinical care at multiple clinics and the ER. The position requires a medical license in Nebraska, completion of a Family Medicine Residency, and certification or eligibility by the American Board of Family Medicine.
Beautiful newly-renovated medical Center. Will be either remodeling the physician clinic or building a new physician clinic. Currently working with architects. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Examines and treats members of family, regardless of age or sex. Ensures proper injury care and disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery, including during hospitalization. Provides prenatal care to pregnant women and delivers babies, and provides postnatal care to mothers and infants. Performs surgical and other procedures as appropriate with experience and competency. Prescribes and administers medications, performs routine vaccinations, and provides advice regarding personal health and hygiene. Requests necessary tests and follow-up visits and refers patients to specialists, as necessary. Provides services in Fairbury Clinic and/or Plymouth Clinic Monday through Friday, and in ER as supervisor to PACs on call. Works to ensure quality clinical and hospital care in a safe, efficient, competent and effective manner. Prepares records and reports as required in support of services rendered in accordance with established procedures. Attend and participate in patient care conferences, team conferences, professional staff conferences and other appropriate professional activities as appropriate.Qualifications: Medical degree from an accredited school, with license to practice in Nebraska or can obtain licenseSuccessful completion of an accredited Family Medicine Residency. Current certification or eligibility for certification by the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM)
