Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring a Montana or compact RN license and at least one year of recent OR experience.
Responsibilities
- Work in the General Surgery Operating Room at a hospital setting
- Day shifts, five 8-hour days per week
- May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency
- May be placed on-call during regularly scheduled shifts
- Uses Epic EMR system
- Responsible for independent and delegated nursing functions, including patient assessment and care planning
- Provide perioperative nursing care and assist with surgical procedures as appropriate
- May be required to document according to hospital and regulatory guidelines
- Must report for background check and drug screening within 24 hours of assignment commitment
- Firm document submission and compliance deadlines are enforced by the facility
Requirements
- Active MT or compact RN license required
- Minimum of 1 year recent experience in Operating Room nursing
- Associate degree in Nursing (ASN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association is required
- ACLS, NRP, or PALS certifications may be required if appropriate for the unit
- Epic EMR experience is preferred
- No pending RN licenses accepted at the time of consideration
- Permanent staff must be separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before eligibility for a travel assignment
