Responsibilities include managing critically ill patients, performing invasive and non-invasive ventilation, and supervising residents from various specialties. The role requires board certification, relevant licensure, and availability for weekend shifts with on-call duties.

Job Details:
Practice Setting: Inpatient 18-bed closed ICU with night call
Documentation System/EMR: Epic
Round on 18-24 critically ill patients with APC and IM/FM/EM residents
Reason for Coverage: Weekend coverage. Full-time intensivist works Monday-Friday
Call Ratio: APC/Resident on at night so call volume to physician varies
Average Number of ICU Patients Per Day: 18
Average Number of Inpatient (non ICU) Patients per Physician per Day: 0
Average Number of Admissions per Physician per Day: 3-4
Trauma Level/Designation: Level 2
Total Number of Beds: 425 hospital wide
Number of Critical Care Physicians in Group: 5
The Locum Physician be Required to Supervise Other Health Care Providers
The Locum Physician is Involved in Covering/Supervising Teaching Services for IM, FM, and EM residents.

Ventilation Management Procedures Required: Invasive (ETT/NT/Tracheostomy), Non-Invasive (BiPAP/CPAP)
Required Insertions: Central Line, Arterial Line, PA Catheter
Diagnostic/Therapeutic Taps Required: Paracentesis, Thoracentesis, Lumbar puncture
Estimated credentialing timeframe: 60-90 days

- All bookings must be standard/economy
- Anything else that exceeds this must be approved by the facility
- Submission Requirements
- Board Certified/Board Eligible - REQUIRED (Pulm crit care preferred, but any variation of critically care trained physician)
- Ohio State License - REQUIRED
- BLS/ACLS - REQUIRED
- COVID Vaccination - Highly Preferred
- Flu Vaccine - Required at time of credentialing
- Must note SPECIFIC availability - REQUIRED
