Job Description

As a Security Guard - Armed Government Patrol in San Jose, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will actively monitor and patrol designated government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the assigned location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor the premises for suspicious behavior and/or activities, and report findings according to established protocols.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential incidents and provide reassurance to staff and visitors.
• Communicate and collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services when required.
• Complete detailed and accurate incident reports and daily activity logs as directed by Allied Universal protocols.
• Follow all applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations while performing duties as an armed security professional.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• At least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience is required.
• An armed guard card or license is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
