The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides direct patient care under the supervision of registered nurses or licensed prescribers in a cardiac care unit. Responsibilities include telemetry monitoring, medication administration, and assisting with patient mobility while maintaining patient confidentiality and care coordination. Candidates must hold a valid LPN license, Basic Life Support certification, and are involved in both day and night shift rotations with weekend duties.

The 4B Cardiac Unit, comprised of 31 beds, focuses on adult Cardiac patient, Drug loading, post Angio, CHF, vascular and medical patients. Shift schedules include days (0700-1900) and nights (1900-0700), with weekend rotation every 2 weeks. Clinical skills include:
Telemetry Monitoring
Pacemaker/ICA Care
Post Angio Care
TR Band
BiPap
5 Main Medication Drips
Qualifications:
- Education: Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program; Consideration will be given for comparable education experience and successful licensure.
- Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining a current LPN license within the hiring state in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all State Board of Nursing requirements.
- Physical Requirements/Demands: Stand/Walk most of the time on duty; significant amount of bending and stooping, as well as lifting and turning patients with assistance; push/pull/grip up to 50 pounds
- Experience: Can be new or experienced LPN
- Certifications: Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.
- Preferred Certifications: IV Certification.
