This position is for a Board Certified or Board Eligible Internal Medicine or Family Medicine physician with long-term care experience to serve as an attending physician and medical director in a sub-acute, long-term care facility in Maynardville, TN. The role involves providing high-quality clinical care, overseeing patient admissions, and ensuring compliance with organizational and medical staff policies. The physician will collaborate with staff, coordinate with external healthcare providers, and participate in compliance and quality improvement initiatives.
Sub-Acute, Long-Term Care is a sector of healthcare exploding with potential and work-life balance flexibility, with no weekends!Genesis Physician Services is seeking a FFS Attending Physician/Medical Director for our Willow Ridge Center, located in Maynardville, TN.This is a Dual Role Attending Physician/Medical Director. It is clinical in nature. There is flexibility with the schedule. Must be BC/BE Internal Medicine or Family Medicine with LTC Experience.RESPONSIBILITIES:Take complete responsibility for patients admitted to their serviceComply with the Genesis Physician Services (GPS) credentialing processVisit assigned patients in a timely fashion according to GPS policy and procedureComply with guidelines related to GPS initiativesComply with the Rules and Regulations of the Medical StaffComply with the Genesis Physician Services Corporate Integrity policiesAssess the customer and ensure that a complete history and physical examinationare on the chart within 72 hrs after the admission to the center.Deliver high quality care to assigned patientsWork closely with the Center Medical Director and act to improve the care in thefacilityServe as an appropriate role model for other physicians and staffHelp articulate the Genesis Physician Services mission to the community andprofessional organizationsHelp the center establish appropriate relationships, and coordinate transfer and carearrangements with area hospitals and other pertinent institutionsDemonstrate care and compassion to ensure that all internal and external customersconsistently receive high quality serviceComply with the Genesis Physician Services Time Off and On Call policiesPerform other duties as assignedADHERES TO COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIESo Comply with applicable legal requirements, standards, policies and proceduresincluding but not limited to those within the Compliance Process,Standard/Code of Conduct, Federal False Claims Act and HIPAA.o Participate in required orientation and training programs.o Promptly report concerns and suspected incidences of non-compliance tomanagement or to the Compliance Officer via the Reach Out Line.o Cooperate with monitoring and audit functions and investigations.
