Locum Tenens Interventional Radiologist Opportunity Near Greensboro, NC

We are seeking a talented Interventional Radiologist for a locum tenens position near Greensboro, NC, starting ASAP and ongoing. This role offers the chance to contribute to a dynamic team while enjoying a flexible schedule.

Position Overview:

• Position: Locum Tenens Interventional Radiologist
• Location: Near Greensboro, NC
• Dates: ASAP - Ongoing
• Rate Type: Daily
• Shift Type: Days
• Shift Description: Monday to Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM
  • For Mammography: Monday through Friday preferred; will accept Monday, Wednesday, and Friday

Please Note: This is not a 100% Interventional Radiology (IR) position and does not include IR call.

Key Responsibilities:

• Light Interventional Procedures:

  • Perform non-complex procedures such as:
    • Image-guided biopsies
    • Drainages
    • PICC line placements
    • Paracentesis and thoracentesis (fluid removal from the abdomen and chest)

• General Radiology:

  • Conduct and interpret routine imaging exams, including X-rays, CTs, and MRIs.

Systems Used:

• EMR: Meditech
• PACS: Intelerad
• VR: Fluency

Submission Requirements:

• Board Certification: Required
• BLS/ACLS Certification: Required
• Active NC License & DEA: Verbal confirmation required at name clear

Certification Requirements:

• ACLS
• BLS
• Board Certified
• DEA

State License Requirements:

• North Carolina

• Reason for Coverage: Temporary coverage needed starting November 1st.
• Special Note: This position focuses on light interventional responsibilities and routine diagnostic radiology, making it ideal for radiologists who prefer a mix of these areas without full IR responsibilities.
