Position Overview: Profession : Physician Specialty : General Medicine Start Date : ASAP End Date : Ongoing Shift Type : Days PRN (as needed) basis, with flexible options for half-day (4-hour) or full-day (8-hour) shifts. Responsibilities: Primary Duties : Conduct one-time, non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments. The exams are primarily interview-based, with some physical assessments, including range of motion and muscle strength testing. No prescribing or treatment is involved. Utilize a goniometer for assessments. Evaluate and diagnose conditions related to musculoskeletal, diabetes, cardiovascular, respiratory, and neurological health. Reporting : Complete standardized Reporting/Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) and submit them within 48 hours of exam completion. No narrative report is required; the focus is on completing standardized forms. Record review is typically required, and follow-up administrative work may include addendums, medical opinions, and reading diagnostics. Key Highlights: Flexibility : The position is PRN with an ongoing requirement, offering flexible scheduling to suit your availability. Physicians can choose to travel and perform exams at a leased facility or schedule veterans within their own practice. Weekend work is available if desired or needed.
