Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced CVOR Registered Nurse to join a fast-paced cardiovascular operating room team. This role involves providing high-quality perioperative nursing care for cardiothoracic surgical patients and working collaboratively with surgeons, anesthesiology, and OR staff.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care using the nursing process in the CVOR setting
- Scrub and circulate for cardiothoracic surgical procedures
- Administer medications and treatments per protocols
- Document care accurately and timely using EMR
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure safe, efficient procedures
- Supervise LPNs and assistive personnel as assigned
- Float within the facility as needed
Requirements- Active RN license (Compact or State)
- Minimum 2 years of recent CVOR experience
- Ability to scrub required
- Prior travel experience (at least one completed 13-week assignment)
- BLS required (ACLS/PALS preferred)
- Experience in a fast-paced surgical environment
Additional Details- On-call, weekends, and holidays may be required per rotation
- Orientation provided (including EMR training)
- Scrubs provided by the facility
