Position Overview Role: Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) Location: Central Georgia Assignment Type: Locum Tenens, ongoing Start Date: December 9, 2024 Shift Schedule: 7:00 a.m. 3:00 p.m., Mondays End Date: Ongoing, with long-term availability Practice Setting and Responsibilities Practice Setting: Inpatient, anesthesia-focused with minimal patient contact and no outpatient care Daily Caseload: Approximately 6 patients per shift, in a 16-bed anesthesia department Specialized Procedures: General anesthesia, epidurals, regional anesthesia surgery, post-op pain management, extremity blocks, and spinal anesthesia Case Types Excluded: No cardiac, thoracic, complex orthopedic, or open heart anesthesia required Support Staff: Includes 1 RN and 1 PA/NP per shift; no supervision or teaching responsibilities Requirements Licensure: Must hold a valid Georgia state license or qualify under the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) Certification: Board eligibility or certification required Additional Credentials: ACLS and BLS: Required Credentialing Timeframe: Estimated 14 days for completion, with temporary privileges available COVID-19 Vaccination Status: Not specified Key Benefits Scheduling: Consistent weekly schedule, every Monday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. No On-Call or Overnight Requirements: Designed for work-life balance Provided Accommodations: Travel and lodging support available for eligible providers Patient Care Focus: Concentration on anesthesia administration and pain management in a structured, organized setting Skills and Experience Anesthesia Skills Required: Expertise in administering general and spinal anesthesia Regional and epidural anesthesia for surgery and post-op pain management Proficiency with extremity blocks and ventilation management Experience with acute BP/volume management, central line, and arterial line placements preferred but not mandatory If you are an experienced CRNA with a focus on patient-centered anesthesia care, we invite you to apply for this locum tenens opportunity.
