A health services network in New York City is currently seeking a licensed Physician Assistant (PA) for a promising opportunity with their growing General Surgery team in Manhattan. In this role, the General Surgery PA will be responsible for patient care regarding patient management, diagnosis, treatment planning and ordering of pertinent tests, therapeutics and medications.
About the Opportunity:

- Hours:7pm to 7am (rotating schedule on holidays and weekends)
- Call Schedule: None
The General Surgery PA will:
- Writeaccurately and in timely manner into patient records for all pertinent care, status changes, orders, progress notes, procedure notes and admit/discharge notes as designated by the clinical area of hire
- Provideconsultation to the Nursing and Ancillary Medical teams and staff of patient condition and plan of care
- Workcollaboratively with the Supervising Physicians and Care team in a timely manner with respect, and with the goals of patient-centered safety and quality as a priority
- Communicateassessment, treatment and care planning to patient, families and designated caretakers in effective and compassionate manner
- Facilitatepatient continuity of care for across multi-disciplinary services, and participates in effective, safe and efficient throughput of patients
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant (PA) Program
- NYS Physician Assistant (PA) license
- NCCPA Board Certification
- ACLS and BLS certifications
- Infection Control certification
- DEA licensure
