Travel Nurse Job Details- Location: Anchorage, Alaska (99508) – Alaska healthcare jobs
- Assignment Length: 13-week travel nursing contract
- Setting: ICU (Critical Care Unit, 14 beds)
- Shifts: 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Start Date: November 17, 2025
- Number of Openings: 4 ICU RN positions
- Dress Code: Navy Blue Scrubs
- Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2200 - $2360
- Active Alaska RN license (required for Alaska nursing jobs)
- BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
- Minimum 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR system
- Ability to independently manage intubated and ventilated patients; titrate pressors
- Experience with intubation, arterial line insertion, chest tube insertion, and central line insertion preferred
- Experience recovering open heart surgeries (12 hours post-op) is a plus
- Willingness to float to other units (MOU, CVSU, Ortho, Rehab, SPCU) as needed
- Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in a 14-bed ICU
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including RNs and clinical support staff
- Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions using EPIC EMR
- Perform and assist with advanced ICU procedures: intubation, arterial line, chest tube, and central line insertions
- Independently manage ventilated patients and titrate vasoactive medications
- Ensure patient safety and follow evidence-based nursing protocols
- Float to other hospital departments as required for staffing needs
