Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position in a critical access hospital, requiring WA or compact RN license and BCLS certification.
Responsibilities
- Work in a critical access hospital with a Level IV trauma center
- Labor and Delivery unit with approximately 300 deliveries per year
- Patient census averages 10 per day
- Typical nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4, occasionally 1:5 depending on admits and discharges
- OB nurses may also cover Postpartum patients when there are no active labor cases
- Night shift schedule, 3x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00, including some weekends
- Cerner EMR is used
- First time travelers are welcome to apply
- Return travelers must not have worked at this facility in the past year
- Scrubs are not provided; any color scrubs may be worn
- Supportive two-nurse per shift staffing model
- Housing recommendations are available for travelers
Requirements
- Active WA or compact RN license required at time of consideration
- Current BCLS certification required
- Minimum of 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience required
- Two references reflecting at least 2 years in the specialty required
- Copy of driver's license and Social Security Number required for consideration
