- Float Requirement: May float to other hospital units
- Minimum 2 years of recent Progressive Care Unit (PCU) or Medical-Surgical nursing experience
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license: Ohio or compact state license required
- Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
- Experience with EPIC charting system
- Travel nursing experience preferred
- Ability to complete Ohio fingerprinting promptly after contract signing
- Two professional references required (one from manager/director or formal leadership)
- Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
- Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with neurological and medical conditions
- Monitor and manage patients with epilepsy, stroke, multiple sclerosis (MS), myasthenia gravis, spinal cord injury, and other neuro diagnoses
- Perform and manage specialized procedures including lumbar drains and EVD monitoring
- Administer medications, blood products, cardiac drips, and insulin drips
- Document patient care using EPIC electronic health record system
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV, PT, RT, pharmacy, social services)
- Float to other units within the hospital as needed
- Participate in rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays
