Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced OB RN to provide holistic, individualized care on the Labor, Delivery, and Postpartum units. The ideal candidate has prior labor and delivery experience and is comfortable working across L&D, recovery, antepartum, postpartum, nursery, and post-op gynecology patients. This role requires clinical competency, sound nursing judgment, teaching skills, and a commitment to improving patient care quality, while independently performing general and unit-specific nursing functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using the nursing process under the supervision of the charge nurse.
- Adhere to all Standards of Nursing Practice and hospital policies regarding confidentiality, ADA, sexual harassment, and advance directives.
- Manage supplies and equipment, ensure proper documentation in the EMR (Cerner), and collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams.
- Maintain high-quality patient care and uphold the organization’s mission, vision, and values.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum 1 year of acute care RN experience; at least 2 years preferred.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Current BLS, ACLS, Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP), and STABLE certifications required.
- Effective written, oral, and computer communication skills.
- COVID-19 vaccination required per state mandate.
