Overview:

Assist as a member of the surgical team who works with the surgeon, registered nurse, and anesthesiologist delivering direct patient care before, during and after surgery. The technologist specialist functions as an instrument assistant and may also function as a circulating assistant under supervision of a registered nurse. Instruct and supervise orientees in sterile technique, procedures, anatomy, etc.

Qualifications: Minimum Education and Experience Requirements::AST certification required and AST or NCCT certification maintained. Graduate of a recognized surgical technologist programMotor Vehicle Operator Designation:Employees in this position:Will not operate vehicles for an assigned business purposeLicensure/Certification/Registration::AST certification, AST or NCCT recertification.
