This position is for a board-certified Radiologist specializing in body imaging to provide remote locum tenens coverage for an acute care hospital. The role involves interpreting diagnostic imaging modalities such as CT, MRI, X-ray, ultrasound, and fluoroscopy with a focus on abdominal and body imaging. Flexible, full-time shifts are available with competitive compensation and comprehensive malpractice insurance.
We are seeking a skilled Body Radiologist to provide locum services for a high-volume imaging practice. This is an excellent opportunity for providers seeking flexible remote coverage in an acute care hospital setting. Coverage is needed beginning January 2026 for an ongoing contract with potential for an ongoing placement.
Job Details:
Setting: Acute care hospital; remote coverage available
Schedule: Flexible 8-hour shifts, days and nights available (7:30 a.m. 5:00 p.m., 12:00 p.m. 10:00 p.m., or 7:00 p.m. 7:00 a.m.)
Coverage: Scheduled shifts only; no call required
Shift Commitment: Full-time coverage across weekdays and weekends
Patient Volume:
Weekdays: 30 CT/MR, or 200 X-rays, or 60 ultrasounds and 5 fluoroscopy cases
Weekends: CT, 7 10 ultrasounds, and X-rays
Patient Population: Adults
Modalities: CT, MRI, X-ray, ultrasound, fluoroscopy
Focus Areas: Abdominal and body imaging
Procedures: Diagnostic interpretation only; no interventions required
Systems: PACS: Fuji Synapse (workstation provided); EMR and dictation details pending
Requirements:
Board Certification: Required in Radiology
License: Active state license required (willingness to license available)
Certifications: DEA and other applicable credentials
Experience: Must be comfortable with high-volume body imaging across multiple modalities
Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately days; temporary privileges available
