Pediatric Intensivist opportunity in Des Moines, IAAbout the Job:
- Full-time
- Seeking a Pediatric Intensivist to join our team at the Children's Hospital in Des Moines, IA.
- In this role you will join a well-established, multidisciplinary team consisting of 4 other Pediatric Intensivists, pediatric residents, critical care nurses, respiratory therapists, social workers, dietitians, child life and more.
- The Health Provider team comprises 150+ pediatric providers spanning 20 subspecialties to provide care for patients throughout the state of Iowa.
- An 88-bed facility, with the PICU being a 12 bed unit, embeded within the core of the hospital close to the Pediatric ER, Adult ICU and surgery.
- Serves as the only Pediatric Level II Trauma Center in the state and is home to a Level III NICU complete with a Pediatric Transport Team, Neonatal Transport Team and in-house transfer center.
- The Emergency Department staffs Pediatric Emergency Medicine physicians and sees roughly 27,000 patients annually.
- Attendings support an ACGME accredited Pediatric Residency Program, which is one of seven residency programs supporting approximately 100 resident physicians each academic year. Qualification:-MD or DO
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine
- Hold an unrestricted license to practice in the state of Iowa
- Eligible to work in the United States (H1-B cap exempt)
