Job Details:

• Work 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts with 1:2 patient ratios
• Guaranteed hours: 36 hours for 3x12 shifts or 48 hours for 4x12 shifts per workweek
• Weekend requirement: every other weekend (6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule)
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• 24-hour orientation required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BCLS, NIH (CCRN preferred)
• Previous charge experience required
• 2 years of ICU experience required
• Indiana state license must be in hand prior to start date
• Must be willing to float within scope to meet facility needs
• Uniform: red scrub top with black scrub bottoms
• Use Cerner charting system
• Care for adult and geriatric patients in 14-bed ICU
• Work with open heart program, neurosurgery cases, and general medical/surgical patients
• Handle stroke unit cases, level 2 trauma stabilization, STEMI, sepsis protocols
• Skills include ventilator management, CRRT, IABP, arterial line management, central line care, and various critical care procedures

Facility:

This 194-bed short-term acute care hospital features a comprehensive 14-bed ICU that serves as the only intensive care unit at this location. The facility operates specialized programs including stroke care, level 2 trauma stabilization, STEMI protocols, and ECMO stabilization services. The ICU provides critical care for medical/surgical adult patients with interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and various diagnostic services. The unit is equipped with advanced technology for cardiac monitoring, temporary pacing, targeted temperature management, and continuous renal replacement therapy.
