ATC West Healthcare Services is seeking a locum OB/GYN physician to provide hospital-based call coverage over four days in late November for a facility in south-central Virginia. This role includes managing labor & delivery patients, performing OB/GYN procedures, and covering unreferred patients as the laborist on call. The provider will work alongside an established team and hospitalist support.

• Coverage Dates:

  • November , 2025 (4 consecutive days)

• Call Ratio: 1:4

• Average Callback per 24 hrs: Fewer than 1; calls come through answering service
  

• Practice Setting: OB/GYN hospital call

• Facility:

  • 9 Labor & Delivery beds

  • 20 Postpartum beds

• Team:

  • 4 physicians in the practice

  • OBHG hospitalist coverage

  • Surgical assistants

  • 3 4 nurses per shift

• Average Nursery Admissions: 2 3 per day

• Patient Responsibility: All OB/GYN emergencies, including unreferred patients

• EMR: Epic

Required Procedures:

• C-sections

• Vaginal deliveries

• Suction D&C

• Management of ectopic pregnancies

• Ovarian torsion

• Abnormal uterine bleeding

• Board Certified in OB/GYN (ABOG)Required
